Director of Transformation Program (COO management level)

Permanent member of the Management Committee of Arcelormittal Romania (3400 M€ of sales, 17500 people) leading the transformation program with an objective of 300M€ of EBITDA improvement in 3 years. 320M€ of EBIDTA improvement already achieved in middle of 2010 by:
- a deep analysis of all aspects of the business (operations, sales, supply chain, HR and training, purchasing, finance)
- a strong and structured transformation plan divided in waves with prioritized subjects taken by a dedicated local team trained by me on Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- strong communication skills that allowed me to convince all players from top management to workers

General Manager

Reporting to MD France, in charge of two French plants in pharmaceutical and healthcare packaging industry with full responsibility of P&L (130 M€ of sales, 210 people).

Achievements:

Turnaround of the two plants:

- Reaching a profitability of 10 % in one plant by productivity improvements done with Lean projects( VSM, SMED, 5S)
- Bringing the other plant to profit after 3 years of losses with added value analysis that gave ideas of new margins and productivity improvements mainly through innovation and new products launch.

2002–2006 MeadWestvaco Packaging Systems Europe

Manufacturing Manager

Reporting to VP Manufacturing, responsible for operations and costs efficiency at European level (Headquarter, 6 production plants, one machinery facility, 350 M€ of turnover, 700 people) and also responsible for Six Sigma deployment in Europe.

Detailed tasks:
• Six Sigma : responsible of the deployment of Six Sigma in Europe ( selection of BB and GB, selection of projects, leading of some BB projects and mentoring other BB and GB, reporting to VPs and CEO)
• Support and adviser to the plant managers and staff
• Interim management of the French and Italian plant
• Unions negotiations in crisis situation
• Participation to the Industrial Strategy ( plant closing, opening, JV, acquisitions)
• Participation to the Investment and Business Plan

Achievements:

• 600 K€ of savings in 2003 with 4 Six Sigma projects and Best Practice program
• 1200 K€ of savings in 2004 with 10 Six Sigma projects
• 2350 K€ of savings in 2005 with 14 Six Sigma projects
• Increasing of productivity by 10% without investments within French plant by using Lean Manufacturing
