Work Experience

I am an experienced manager / consultant with a history of achievement working with senior clients to deliver major benefits. A combination of management and technical skills enables me to quickly come up to speed in different industries, and to work on different kinds of initiatives. I am happy working at all levels in an organisation.

My areas of expertise include general management, production, supply chain, sales & marketing, product development and people related areas such as HR and management development. I was head of the Gemini Consulting Nordic “Operations Competence Discipline” for two years and the “Leadership Competence Discipline” for two years. I also have experience of SAP, JDE and other major ERP systems implementation projects and change management at a senior/strategic level. I have developed a number of effective tools and methods that facilitate change management.

I am married, no children, and am comfortable with travel both in and outside Europe, having already travelled extensively worldwide working in several different countries and cultures.

CAREER:

1992 – present
Business consultant. Selling and delivering major consulting projects, working with senior clients to deliver significant improvements in efficiency, productivity and overall profitability. Experience from working in several industries including chemicals, life sciences, oil & gas, electrical power, automotive, aircraft manufacture and more. Head of Operations Discipline. Head of People Discipline.

1991 – 1992
General Manager for a new-start consultancy in the privatised electricity industry. Building up the company and its business, developing client relationships, obtaining ISO 9000 registration, acting as consultant to OFFER, ABB, National Grid and others.

1989 - 1991
Business Consultant. Working with senior clients to deliver significant productivity improvements in aircraft design & construction, oil & gas procurement, banking, manufacturing.

1987 - 1989
Division Manager with full P&L responsibility in a major European software company (subsequently purchased by EDS). Specialising in industrial systems and products for major clients including British Airways, Rolls-Royce, CIBA Geigy, and National Grid.

1980 - 1987
Project Manager on large military systems design, build and installation. Managed several projects over 10 million GBP.

1976 - 1980
Project Manager for large-scale radar and communications systems installation in the Middle East and North Africa.

1965 - 1976
Royal Air Force: service in England and Germany with extensive foreign travel.
